Hi Uccio / Psicomante
This is perfect. Appreciate there is more work to do.
I've installed 6.x-3.x-dev to try it out.
Can you help clarify my understanding please?
The admin page for website_screenshot lets you choose an image width, but how does this image width setting differ from the image width setting under the imagecache preset? If I update the admin page of website_screenshot, should the width setting of the website_screenshot preset be set the same? I guess I'm not clear on what the admin width setting means.
Also, if I have other imagecache presets, how can I make those presets use the website_screenshot preset as their source?
Finally, how do you invoke the creation of a website screenshot? and how can this be associated with a node field?
Hope you can help,
best wishes

uccio commentedhi scotjam,
thanks for your feedback and your patience!!
-image width is the size of requested image at screenshot service (use the highest size available)
-imagecache preset: You have on your disk a big image and you can decide the new resoluzion by imagecache preset.
-imagecache preset 2: If you have different imagecache preset you can choose :D
To work the module need cron, to try the module, after node creation run cron.php to ask the screenshoot.
thanks to your interest, Uccio

scotjam commentedOkay, I've now run cron using both bluga and thumnailzr but I can't find where the screenshot has been stored locally. I was expecting it to be either in the folder website_screenshot or the imagecache preset folder, but its no where to be found. I can confirm the after visiting bluga's site I was able to confirm that my website request had gone through. I've also check local file permissions and nothing wrong there and I can confirm that when running cron, drupal responding with a positive message regarding the thumbnail request.
BTW... To create the thumbnail I used the website_screenshot content type. If I can get this working, my next question will be how to make it such that I can create a screenshot when I update or create a new page, rather than using the website_screenshot content type.
So, any ideas why I'm not getting a local copy of the screenshot? and is it possible to add the website screenshot functionality into an existing content type, e.g. page?
best wishes

puravida commentedThis release is no longer supported. I believe this issue was left open because of the explanation by Uccio. I have copied that explanation and will merge it into the readme posted by another user in another thread. Eventually, I will make a documentation page for this project.
