Hello

I have drupal installed through the hosting company godaddy and did finalize the installation of drupal and database creation.

However I am a little confused since I read some of the installation materials that all assuming that drupal is installed a local computer and not in a external hosting environment.

Are there any added steps that I need to complete if the installation is on the host and not installed on a local computer?

I have received an email from the hosting company indicating my URL for Drupal installation (http://example.com/drupal ) When I open the page, it has a sidebar with four options which are as follows:

my account
create contents
Administrator
logout

Does this mean that I can chose a theme and content or is there more steps?

Thank you for your feedback, comments and ideas

The problem isn't that there is a difference between drupal being installed on a local machine and your host. The problem is that you've used a one click host install rather than installing drupal yourself using drupal's native installer. Thus your mileage may vary and your paths will certainly be quite different as your host has installed drupal in a subdirectory rather than in the root of your account.

Yes the hosting company installed on a subdirectory, I don't mind reinstalling again the point is how do you install it manually on the hosting side??
