periods in select option results in wrong css id

Hi, I hope I didn't overlook an existing issue. Today I created a form with a select widget and the only option included a period.

I tried to theme this with css but found out that it's not themeable with the period. I guess this is an issue since options should be able to end with periods and still be themable.
