Hi,
Before comparing the value arrays the '_error_element' should be stripped from cck. It only seems to be a problem for some of my nodes though (I'm trying to understand as little as possible of the Forms API :P).

oh, there is an issue over there: #446390: make rules conditions more robust - Could you give that patch a test? Does that fix it for you?
