Description
The current OpenID icon has a white fringe and therefore looks ugly on differently-colored backgrounds. The attached PNG file is a rerendered alpha transparency version of the icon. I also added a white bKGD chunk for IE6. The new file is a smaller with only 223 bytes; the old was 426 bytes.
Attached is the new PNG file as well as the tweaked vector version.

Nice.
Could you please ensure this has also been "smushed" to its smallest possible size, so that Google Page Speed or whatever that Firefox add-on is doesn't complain?
#5
Yep, much needed, and should be backported, IMO.

@webchick
new: 223 bytes
old: 426 bytes
#7
So that means you tested it with Google Page Speed and it returned no errors...?
#8
Yes, it's the smallest possible size.
#9
should've been more clear ;) the only thing google pagespeed is complaining about is something in bluebeach ;) so yes, it didn't complain!
