Pagebreak button for Wysiwyg API

Is it possible to develop a plugin for the Wysiwyg API module that creates a <!--pagebreak--> button to insert that code?

I have voiced my concern over at the Wysiwyg issue forum, and one of the developers contends that while buttons are not simply created within the API, module developers can create plugins for the Wysiwyg.
