I have enabled both the Location module and the Location phone module. I've gone through and configured my settings at admin/settings/locations. When I navigate to my list of content types to configure the "locative information" for a specific type, the fieldset does not appear. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Didn't have all the proper modules enable. My mistake.

What did you not have enabled? I have the same problem and have spent half a day on it.

The "node location" module is what enables/disables editing of location information on the node edit form, apparently. HTH.

Thanks for reporting that the "node location" is when enables/disables the editing of location information. I was following a Lynda.com module which skipped that step. Took me a bit to figure it out as well.

I do have the Location node module activated, and the heading "Locative information" shows up in the content type configuration, but only the check boxes of Collapsible or Collapsed show up. I have another site running under this same instance of Drupal, and when I check Locative information, There are multiple fields showing up to choose from. Location name, street location, additional, city, state/provice, postal code, country and coordinate chooser.

Why is it that on the second site, these fields do not show up as options. I have checked and compared all modules enabled, GMap, GMap Location and CCK Location configuration pages, and everything is the same on both sites. Permissions have been checked, as well.

got any ideas about why this does not show up? I also cannot get a map to appear on a node. I have created a content type that should only have a map and a description on it. I want multiple locations to appear on this map. And I'm making it available to a number of other sections of the site, via a Taxonomy.

I get nothing but a link to a map....I don't want a link to a map, I want the map to appear right on the node page.

The person who built the original site, is no longer with our firm, and I cannot ask him how and why he got a map to show up on the node page above everything else on the page...It shows up even above the view and edit tabs, when I'm logged into the site, as administrator.

Can you help me?

Thanks, WCW
