I tried the theme and the link below is how it looked on my set-up. I installed it twice on a new set-up. Please check, it looks quite different from your demo theme. I am on drupla 6.10.

Also, Do I need to do any special configuration or change??

You asked for comments thts why I let you know. Please reply if you fix the issue.

Hi appraveen,

I have checked and found a bug which prevents CSS from loading.

I have fixed this bug and updated to a new package: http://symphonythemes.com/node/73

Thanks heap for your feedback :).

appraveen’s picture

Hi tuthanh,

I tried new package on a fresh install. No change. I guess the changes are missing.

Praveen

EDIT

ALSO, You have a blog on your site, what blogging Software is it?

Praveen

tuthanh’s picture

Hi Praveen,

I will test it carefully b4 releasing it next week. Although it's ok for now but just want to make sure it really work.

The blog on our site is from Drupal as well. You can customize Drupal to anything you want.

Just looking at your demo via view source. Looks great!

One thing you might want to consider (may have already done so, I can't tell from the view source), even though it adds a file to download, is to have a custom.css for people who want to just make small modifications and yet be able to download any bug fixes or other changes you make to the theme. That separates out customization and lets me generally upload changes without as much worry.

great theme!

Hi rick_deckard,

Thanks for your feedback. I have added a custom.css to the package as well.

Please tell me what module did you used to show and change images in banner zone? Pretty please?
Thanks!

tuthanh’s picture

Hi Diver,

We used jQuery plugin to display slideshow in Alphorn Theme.

Hi Tuthanh!
Thank you for jQuery tip, that somewhat worked.
Would you mind to explain now how did you managed to create that view?
I've managed to get something similar to your version, but then corrupted and can't recreate it again trying several days already.
Also views module is way to difficult with so many different options there.
Thanks!

Hi Diver,

I have a more detailed guide for you to create a slideshow in Drupal here

Thanks for a fine theme to share with us ...

I managed to get it to work fine. I have downsized the photos to smaller size. Now, it is a small slideshow of photos.

I want it to be a bit different than your original design, and hope you do not mind that.

www.malebodydecor.com

Now, I have a small slideshow with black background. Is the black backgroup possible to be inserted with a static photo background ?

I tried to put a banner.jpg in the banner but nothing happens there ....

Could you please assist ?

How do I get the texts slideshow ? How I create two slideshow side by side ???? How do I do that please if possible ?

How do I change the columns on the login areas to match the design also ???

Thanks ./...

ST Conch, another new free theme from us is now available at

Thank you all for your feedbacks for ST Alphorn. I have made some changes to reflect your comments on this latest theme, ST Conch. Like Alphorn, it is also free.

Hope to get more feedback from you :)

I followed the steps to create a slideshow, and everything seems to work, except when I log out. I can no longer see the images of the slideshow, even though I can still see the body text used as a caption. I can see the slideshow block, I can see the caption, just no image shows up.

The only thing that is different is that I'm using the ImageCrop addon to ImageField. Could this be the problem?

huongle’s picture

Hi mateomiguel,

Please go to admin/User management/permissions to set permission for image field which you've created.
Good luck :)

Cheers,
HuongLe

Alphorn is now made compliant to Drupal.org coding standards.

joachim’s picture

Is this going to be hosted on drupal.org in future, to make filing issues and following updates a bit easier?

Btw, I see a jquery-1.2.6.min.js file in the theme. You know jquery is in Drupal core, right? ;)

tuthanh’s picture

Well I'm applying for the CVS in Drupal. However, it will be a long journey.

Hi there

thanks for a nice theme template for us to use ..

i am wondering how to change the favicon ? it does not seem to work when I did it in theme global setting ... uploading the favicon.ico file
is there anything else I have to do ?

I have also tried uploading the favicon.ico file from the cpanel, it does not work still ...

Thanks

chandrabhan’s picture

Do you support these two modules in your conch and alphorn themes?

chandrabhan’s picture

Is that supported?

tuthanh’s picture

Our theme core is based on Fusion and Skinr, it has some modification to suit our design standard.

rabkhan’s picture

If you give me a link to your project application, I'll review it :)

NICE! now to get panels to play nicely with responsive theming otherwise all this is just for basic sites.

Unless you know of another way to get related node field content to be displayed in block regions for the node.

kchrisc’s picture

Hello,

Thank you for the free theme. However there seems to be a bit of an implementation issue with the slideshow portion.

After installing several modules--they all seem to cascade--I found that ImageCache is now part of the core. That's all fine and good, but their is no ImageCashe module to enable so I am dead in the water.

What now?
