I tried to log in and the system reported it could not find my username. I had to create a new username in order to report this.
My (missing) username is pdube - email address=pdube@craftandhobby.org - user number 38831
I created a group - DruForum - for the effort to integrate Drupal with netFORUM and can not log in to post & manage the group. I last successfully logged in last Thursday or Friday.
Please let me know where/how to request this assistance if this is not the correct place.

Thank you,
Paul

Use this form to request a sync: http://groups.drupal.org/node/add/account-synch

pdube1’s picture

performing the search gives no results
I was even able to create yet another account with the same ID as the original - pdube
The original node is 38831 - this is the one which created the group I am trying to run.

I apologize again for opening multiple tickets but I could not find the original post, let alone responses.

thanks again,
Paul

I can't tell if you are responding - since I could not see the posts, I have no idea if that problem has resurfaced.

Basically, I am unable to find the accounts to sync but if I search on the site using just the pdube name, I find posts I made to the group. I find no account/node information to create the sync request.

Thank you,
Paul

I do not understand the status of "by design" on this ticket.

Perhaps I used the incorrect 'search' but I was unable to obtain results by using the search in the upper right corner of the screen. Therefore, I cannot open a sync request.

To further complicate things, I am not always able to see updates to the issue(s) I create.

Please help
thanks in advance,
Paul

The most important thing to me is regaining my group.
Is there some way to reassign the group to this account so work there can continue?

Thank you,
Paul

If a response has been posted, please forgive me. I cannot see it.
I really need access to further this project. How can I regain access and control of the group?

Thank you,
Paul

Please help. I could not find the information needed to request the sync.
I need to post requirements for development to this group. Some Drupal developer(s) will be making $$ on this project. Please have compassion for your fellow developers.

I had an account (#38831), under which I created a group - DruForum - Drupal & netFORUM integration. The group has ~18 members with more joining as soon as I can invite them. I am about to post the first actual development requirements for an RFP/RFQ.

I cannot log in to the original account, created this one to post to the forums, and was even able to create a new account with the same user name as the original (pdube).

The original reply to this thread suggested I enter a new sync request after searching for related nodes. My search had no results but I do not know whether I searched in the right place. I used the search at the top right of these pages.

So, I cannot follow the instructions on the sync request, cannot manage the group, and cannot spend my $$.

What can I do short of trying to get all group members to join a new group and lose the content in the original?

Thank you,
Paul

I can't! My search for the related objects to sync/merge does not find anything to sync!
I appreciate everyone's assistance but I cannot use that form without the data to feed it!

avpaderno’s picture

Does that mean you don't know your g.d.o username, and the link to your profile in d.o and g.d.o?
Do you know at least two of the three asked values?

pdube1’s picture

I know the username - pdube and the original user id# 38831. I cannot find links to either profiles.
The only other things I can find are the posts I made to the group I started.
This is SOOO frustrating.

avpaderno’s picture

I know the username - pdube and the original user id# 38831. I cannot find links to either profiles.

If the user ID is 38831, then the user profile is at http://drupal.org/user/38831 (or http://groups.drupal.org/user/38831, depending on which server uses the user ID you reported).

pdube1’s picture

AHA! That profile belongs to someone else that has been a member for >3 years!
This must have something to do with the recent change in infrastructure.

Now all I need is a way to reclaim my group because I really don't care about the account - the group is the only reason I created an account.

Can someone PLEASE help me reclaim my group?

Thank you!

The 3 year old account isn't your account. Currently on drupal.org you have at least two accounts that I've verified. pdube and pdube1 created here on drupal.org.

I'm confused.

why can't you log into your g.d.o account? it's username is pdube have you tried requesting a new password on groups.drupal.org?

avpaderno’s picture

I am sorry for the confusion I created: the user ID 38831 is for g.d.o; the real name reported for that account is the same reported in the account here in d.o (and so is the username).

I updated http://groups.drupal.org/user/38831/edit to be the same username (pdube1) as the account on drupal.org.

This should fix it.

I am again having difficulties. The username pdube1 is no longer the manager of the group:
http://groups.drupal.org/druforum-drupal-netforum-integration

I requested membership but I have not received the request to approve.

This is very frustrating. I am attempting to start a marketplace around the integration of Drupal & netFORUM where Drupal developers can make money. At the very least, these problems will force me to take the group off this site.

Once before, you made my username the manager of the group. Can you please do so again?

Thank you,
Paul

PS these problems shake one's confidence in the platform. Is there an explanation or does it just "come with the territory" of Drupal?

The manager of that group is the account http://groups.drupal.org/user/38831 . Is this fixed?

As to an explanation, this is due to switching from the old Drupal single signon module to the new bakery module and not something a site would normally face.
