I have very few users and very little content and I want each user to be notified whenever there is a content change. When I create a new user, I see that they have the ability to create subscriptions, but I want subscriptions already turned on. Most of my users aren't very sophisticated.

I've searched but haven't found how to do this. I did find the module notifications_extra but can't find instructions for Custom subscriptions. I don't need to customize by role anyhow. I want everyone to have notifications on by default.

I've been using the Notify module, but have installed Notifications in my test site for OG and would prefer to eliminate Notify if I can.

I'll stay with Notify for now. I need to think through exactly what I want Notifications to set up for new users. The Developer documentation is good. Perhaps I can make my own changes later. I'm going to mark this issue closed.
