I could have sworn (maybe it was an earlier release) that Forum names which are set to private are not supposed to appear at all to visitors (non-members) of a OG listed in the directory?
So, if I have a public OG, and I set General Discussion to private it shows in the forum/nid page for that group. If I create Private Discussion and don't set it public also visible. Messages posted internally are, of course, public or private by virtue of OG itself.

glen201 commentedBump - this is still a problem -- people can see the names of private forums in an OG. Is this a "feature"?

kompressaur commentedI have this problem. I think. Well i have the same symptoms as Glen. Private forum titles (and Topics, Posts & Last Post) are all on display to unregistered guests. they get an Access Denied message though when trying to view the forums. a bit of a bugger though if you was wanting a a 'My Favourite Nudie Pics' forum though :(
My publicity settings are
Automatic forum publicity checked
Allow public choice unchecked
Make all forums public checked
Ive had the 3 boxes above checked and unchecked in about 12 differant ways and now i can't get unregistered to see new posts. public posts. I cant find the make public box when editing posts. the forum seems to have lost context. I knew what my problems where when i started this post now im just confused with it all. I was trying to just have all posts public to unregged and non group members bar in groups that are private. I just can't seem to achieve it. Been at it for weeks. Getting nowhere.
Can someone tell me what way the checkboxes above mentioned should be to do as i was wanting and at least i will have something solid to work from. Thanks.
