Hello there. I have been working on a similar module for my guild, but then I suddenly thought of searching first ;)

I have tested your module - checked out the most recent files from CVS - and I see that we have taken two different approaches. I have based my module on Drupal's node hooks. It supports multiple guilds, plus character profiles, with a profession filter to search for crafters with a particular skill level.

I feel that perhaps the module I have created is a bit more true to Drupal's API. I'm not sure whether a merge would be the best approach, as the way the two modules work is so different. Do you have any thoughts or plans?

Wow nice module!

Really like the professions feature! One of the things I'd like to see is a "Guild note" on each character that you could set on the site eg "Alt of xxx" or "Main Guild Tank". I've tried to play create my own field but it keeps getting overwritten.

Any chance of you releasing your module for testing tjodolv?

The module has some more features coming up, and the alt/main functionality is one of them.
A test release will come, but first the module has to be stable enough, and I'd like to hear nhdriver4's plans for his module. The policy for projects on Drupal.org is that there should preferably not be two modules that do the same thing.

Sorry for the late answer, I have been a bit busy. I have not seen any activity from nhdriver4, but I'll get an unofficial release out for testing on my site later today, just have to get home first.

I would not mind a merge. This started out as a personal project but after noticing that there was no modules that did anything like this listed, I cleaned up the code a bit and committed it. (Took me forever to figure out CVS since I'd never used it before!).
