- Custom Drupal 4.7 theme by: Ross Howard-Jones

Just a quick site I did for a friend of mine who had a great idea, but didn't know how to make his voice be heard - so I suggested a website.

Voila, a day later, The South African Wine Initiative @ southafricanwine.org

Forgot to mention... thats the beauty of Drupal, you can make a fully dynamic site in one day.

One day?

Really really impressed!

Very clean web2ish look.
Out of interest, why not a .za domain?

On a different tack, we need a getridoftelkom initiative also. cough cough.

Nice site, just thought i'd mention the idea of changing the fav icon. Though, never anything wrong with the drupalicon.

I actually had a favicon up but when I updated to 4.7 RC2 I accidentally overwrote it and forgot to put it back - whoopsy. Anyways, thanks for bringing it to my attention, it should be back up now.

Thanks again for the compliments on the site!

Hey, does anyone know how to get a rid of the posted on date/time for the Recent Comments block? I used to know how to do it with 4.6 but I think the code has changed in 4.7. I would also like to limit the number of comments to lets say 5. Have they built this feature in to the core yet?

Your friend might also like to look at Citizenspeak (also available as a drupal module) to do a bit of simple campaigning through the site. The one thing that is missing from the site is a specific call to action.

www.kleercut.net/en is another drupal site for good online campaigning ideas.

Thanks for pointing this out to me, I will definitely be showing this to him.

I love the theme for this site: I too can't believe that you designed the whole thing in one day! You are lucky to have such good artistic skills - doing all that visual design would have taken me weeks. Sites like this really show the importance of a good, custom theme in a Drupal site.

Hello fellow drupalites,
We are looking for help in the way of site linking - This will help spread the word and boost the Google love. We would of course add your link to our site as well.

If you would like to add our link to your site, here is the info:

Site Name: The South African Wine Initiative
Site Address: http://www.southafricanwine.org
Little Blurb: The South African Wine Initiative provides information about the South African Wine Industry's use of Mechanical Harvesters and the resulting social and environmental damage.

Let us know if you want a logo or anything else. You can provide us with the same type info and a logo if you wish to have your link on our page.

Thanks,
Ross & Simon
