Issue Summary
When i login and try to vote on IE 8 I'm unable to. I click on the button and no action takes place.
I've tested with all other possible browsers: FF, Safari, Chrome Opera. but this seems to be there only in IE8.

Ditto. Just discovered this today. This is a very critical bug.
Nothing is clickable in the box at all in IE8 for a logged in user. The "login to vote" link works fine. Everything works fine in other browsers.

Figured it out. I was floating the plus1 widget to the right. But there was a div right below it that took up the whole width of the page. So in IE8, it was "covering" the plus1 widget, even though you could still see it.
Setting the width of the div smaller or setting the z-indexes fixed it for me.

With the fix to #322735: Vote link is executed by search engines, I no longer see this problem.
BTW, "critical" means your site is down.
