After upgrading from alpha1 to alpha2, front page template is ignored when logged in

Description
After upgrading from alpha1 to alpha2, the Diff module is forcing Drupal to use the page-node-N.tpl.php template instead of the page-front.tpl.php template. Our homepage has a custom template and several blocks, including one with revisions. Homepage path is set to /node.
