If I put it at the beginning of a text entry field, freelinking with double brackets "[[link]]" does not link, but shows up in the node with the brackets in the displayed text, as you see it here in the posting. If there is some text before the brackets then it works perfectly, even if it's just a space: " [[link]]". I am not sure whether this is a bug, but it shouldn't be like this, right? I cannot everybody expect to first type in a space before typing in the links.

Any idea how to fix this, please?

I cannot replicate this bug in 6x.-1.8. Does this problem still exist?

This seems to be already fixed in 1.x-dev. I am working toward a small bugfix release (1.9), please keep an eye out on the project page for a call for testers.
