Support tree level terms

Hi, I have been looking for a module like this for a long time.
I have hierarchical_select.module installed and vocabulary is in a hierarchical tree

Fruit
- appels
- banana
Vege
- potato
- carrot

I have 2 content types Fruit, and Vege
But you are not able to hide Vedge,potato,carrot in the Fruit content type.

Or am i doing something wrong, or is it hierarchical_select.module messing things up?
