how can multiple users sell their different goods on one site? (ubercart marketplace is outdated)

In a previous question I asked about selling nodes. I thought that's how I should go but this is really a different more basic question.
I want multiple authenticated users to be able to sell their products. Is there such a thing or process or module in drupal or do I need to look elsewhere?

I am looking for the same thing. I'm not sure if Marketplace is outdated - why do you think this is the case? It seems like it's the only real option - although there's no production ready D6 version.
