Boost Module and Amazon Module

I use the amazon module extensively throughout my site with no problems for months. I installed the boost module yesterday and as long as the "boost" module is enabled. I cannot display the amazon items on my pages. There isn't any error messages, in fact the pages do "display", but they are free of any amazon related content.

Also I followed the instructions step by step on how to installed the boost module.
1. Download module and unzip in appropriate directory.
2. create the cache and domain subdirectories that the html and gz files will be written to.
3. Modified my .htaccess file with the info in the boost module.

But I don't think the boost module ever really worked 100%. Why do I say this? Well i didn't notice any performance improvements and I never saw the "BOOST" stamp at the bottom of the pages, even though I was not logged in and cleared the cache on my browser.

Again, installed the module -> Static files with the html and gz extension were being written to the appropriate "cache" directory -> but none of my anonymous pages had the "BOOST" stamp at the bottom -> this also cause my amazon product to disappear.

I uninstalled and deleted the modules and will continue to use the cache_router module. I think the problem was something very simple, but right now I don't have time to trouble shoot what could be wrong with this module. I was hoping for a drop in module to increase the speed of my site by serving static html representations of my php pages.
