Is it possible, to limit Signup to a defined number of attendees?
e.g. if 50 people have signed up close the signups for the event.

Any help appreciated.

there's a patch floating around somewhere for this. you can check the issue queue for signup. i won't be adding it as an official feature until i update signup module to work with the pending events module changes.
