Any reason this couldn't have been coordinated with Views datasource first?

Great that someone's working on views datasource again. Last I looked it seemed like the maintainer was on a break.

I'm using this module on a project at the moment, but I'm happy to make the switch once that's possible. I'll check it out soon and post patches/issues in the queue as they come up.

Yeah, the maintainer of views_datasource wasn't active for a while but has pledged to come back and get things working again. Less duplication is always better and glad to see that you're up for it. :) Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure how this is duplication, unless much has changed in Views Datasource since the beta I've just downloaded.

I tried creating an XML View with Views Datasource and am utterly confused as to how to set up an RSS with that... it seems far too generic for this specific task: it asks me in the UI for XML Schema, element names, CDATA settings, and things which are way over my head when I just want to create an RSS feed.
