List of nodes user can edit

Is there a way to display editable nodes to users? At the moment, I'm emailing the node-editing URL (http://example.com/node/138/edit?destination=admin/content/node) directly to users - I assume there is a better way.

If I enable the administer nodes permission so they can see a list of nodes, then it seems they can edit any node.

I see similar questions have come up before, but the solutions didn't quite address what I'm aiming for.
