Hi Drupal Geeks,

We are currently having major performance Issue with our Drupal 6.10 site.

Scenario : Web Servers(load balanced): 2 X Dell Power Edge 2950 with 2.4 GHZ Dual Xeon 4 GB RAM
Apache 2.2
Database Server (failover cluster): Dell Power Edge 2950 with 2.4 GHZ Dual Xeon 4 GB RAM
MySQL 5.0.81
OS : RHEL 5
Not Much customization with core drupal. Only customized theme images and css.One custom made module.

Load Test with 50 users for 5 mins (one server) cramps memory it comes down to 15 MB. And pushing it further stops the server from responding.

All the above without any caching. With boost module, performance goes up significantly memory utilization is optimum. However there are dynamic pages where boost is not an option.

We are in a bottleneck situation with this one. Any Suggestions ?
Feel free to ask question if you need any more inputs.

Regards
Kambui

Is Apache running as mod_php and MPM pre-fork?

If so, then running Apache MPM Worker with fcgid would ease off memory usage.

Look at this article Apache fcgid: acceptable performance and better resource utilization.

It's already there but that doesn't help much.
