I open this issue to coordinate (with myself, mostly) the process of issue queue cleanup. In anticipation of #370637: Port category_pathauto to D6, I hope to visit all issues related to pathauto integration, and either mention these on the 6.x port issue (major ones), or summarize their points here (smaller ones) and close them, or just close them (duplicates, outdated support etc.)

Now I see that #370637: Port category_pathauto to D6 already have some (a bit aged now) code for review. I hope to review that soon, and close some of the above-listed issues accordingly.
