Just an FYI that the Drupal Security Team marked Markdown Preview as abandoned (http://drupal.org/node/585790) and included on the project page (http://drupal.org/project/markdownpreview) instructions on how to use the Live module to securely have live previews of nodes and comments with the Markdown filter.
