Using the RSS feeds from the new google calendar doesn't work in aggregator module. They work perfectly in a couple other rss readers i've tried, like reblog and bloglines.

I get the following error:
Failed to parse RSS feed Family Events: mismatched tag at line 20.

As a test, you can use my rss feed at:
http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/jkvhniqfismkn0bj8ds3h62hp8@group.ca...

The feed is valid, minus a couple of warnings.

Doesn't work for me either.

Northfield.org Public Cal feed. Feedburner doesn't mind and if I run it through FB, convert it to RSS 2.0, and then syndicated it, the Drup 4.6 aggregator accepts it.

i checked with the present cvs version of drupal. some time if you find errors like that, please remove items and then click update items. it is not the problem with drupal. it is problem with google calender.

Sweet baby Jesus all nestled in a blanket!! I have pulled out to many hairs on this one.. Thank you ABG for your post..

I will add for any future hair pullers a few additional notes:

  • FeedBurner now also has a 'Event Feed' option to format your rss events for Google Calendar properly.
  • Also had to set the 'Convert Format Burner' to just RSS 2.0 to get this to work with Drupal aggregator in 5.1

Hope this saves someone else's hair :)
