No automatic teaser description after upgrade

OK, I upgraded from 6-1.0 to 6-1.2 and all meta descriptions are gone. I disabled caching, purged cache about 10 times, ran update.php 3 times and ran cron.php 5 times, but I still don't see any option to enable automatic meta descriptions based on node teaser as screen-captured here (found in other thread: http://drupal.org/files/issues/Voila_Capture_21_0.png).

On top, all my existing meta descriptions are gone for all nodes, and for the front page itself.

Please help, this is critical.
