Hi,

I auto-generate meta descriptions for a node type using teasers. However, my teasers are very long and Integrated Metatags tend to display the whole teaser in meta description, which is not the behaviour I want.

I would like to truncate automatically generated meta descriptions to 150 characters, no exceptions.
Could you tell me how to achieve this?

If you go to the Integrated Metatags Settings Page (admin/settings/int_meta) you can configure character or word caps for the Keywords and Description metatags, as well as a cap for all other metatags.

To do what you're asking, visit the module's settings page, then for each of the groupings select the radio for Characters and enter 150 in the "number to cap at" field. Once done for all three groups, save the page and you should be set!

Is it possible to cut on word boundaries only when cap is set to characters?

Sadly, there isn't. Feel free to submit a feature request on that, but I probably won't get to it before I revisit upgrading for Drupal 7.
