Edit using Rich text

Am I supposed to be able to use rich text editors with this module? I use the wysiwyg plugin, with several of the editors... like tinymce, fckeditor, etc. None of them seem to work in the "side content" editing window no matter what kinda of formatting I choose. The only way I am able to get edited text to appear in the side bar is to write the HTML myself or copy and paste the code from already edited text in a field such as "body". Please let me know if I am doing something wrong... or if the module just doesn't work with the wysiwyg module. Thanks!!!
