How can I display the total of an entire column of a decimal field? This field is on a content type which has new instances regularly submitted, thus increasing the overall total, and I would like to display this total.

I did try using view calc but as I have no set way of knowing how many instances will be calculated, I can't see how to use it for this purpose.
Possible?
