IMPORTANT NOTE Apr 4:

Right now, HEAD and Views have become incompatible due to a change in the form_builder code that views UI uses heavily. This change is going to be changed again in the near future, and I am therefore not going to fix it.

I apologize, but at this time, Views can not be run with HEAD, only RC1

This is streight from the views download page. You'll have to wait on this one. It does work with RC1 but you might want to just wait.

Have a Great Day,

Title: Views and RC2 » Remove 'IMPORTANT NOTE Apr 4:' from project page
Component: Code » Documentation

As far as I can remember, this warning was related to a small "forms api dance" that happened in core a few days ago, and is now settled.

The changes happened between RC1 and RC2 so for now views module cvs :
works with RC1
works with RC2
works with current core HEAD

Changing the subject to an advice for merlin.

t4him, I posted this issue after reading that note!! Thanks for your interest in answering my question, though:-)

yched, thanks for the clarification. I went ahead and installed the latest views cvs and it works, as you have pointed out.
