I'll be darned if I can't figure out what my g.d.o account used to be and I can't find it using the handy dandy google search query either. I think it was cfont@drupal.org but thats not working for me. I can log into d.o with my cfont account and be OK until I get to a groups.drupal.org site that I would like to comment on and then get an error because of my account that is either "access denied" or "The name cfont is already registered. Please contact the site administrator." Could you please fix? Please notice that this is marked as a minor priority because I'm sure you have other things much more important to worry about. ;-)

in case I wasn't clear enough I wanted to use the sync accounts link from the http://groups.drupal.org/node/26125 post but won't work for me since I can't remember my account name for sure and thus can't figure out my user number. Sorry for that.

I am in the same boat, I always used @drupal.org account to log into groups.drupal.org. I can't use the account sync request form, because I have no groups.drupal.org account that I know of (always logging in with d.o creds), so I don't have the info to fill it out.

Thought by performing some activity on my drupal.org account it may "fix" the groups.drupal.org credential identification. However, after changing my password the system responded with a message indicating there is no associated groups account to deal with. After trying to get into the groups site again I have the problem with my account not working. I've attached two screen shots related with this comment.

Sorry for the delay on fixing these issues. Please see the new post about how you can resolve this directly yourself: http://groups.drupal.org/node/36120

If that system doesn't work for you please post back here with details on the problem.

Sorry for the delay myself. I had been watching this for a couple of weeks but work got the better of me and I am just now checking back. I tried to use http://groups.drupal.org/bakery/repair but apparently cannot remember my groups.drupal.org password. Please help so I can participate in the groups discussions.

The accounts are now synched. Please wait 24 hours before making any changes to your drupal.org account so that the synch can be finalized by a periodic database script. You may need to logout/login to make it work properly on groups.drupal.org

Issues automatically move to closed after 2 weeks of inactivity in the "fixed" state.

I'm glad to hear it's working for you!
