Simplenews module question

Hi,

I have installed the Simple News module but I can't figure out the way to use it(even after reading all help files). I have tried sending a test newsletter to an email address but I receive nothing at that address.

Is it possible to automatically send links of all new content of a content type as a newsletter every week?
I have already installed the Simplenews Digest module but there is no way to add content type to it.
