Aggregator2 Doesn't Update Feeds with 4.7RC2

I've noticed and read through most of the posts on this module. I am currently running drupal 4.7RC2, and I've having difficulty with the module updating the feeds. I should mention that this all running on a test server and is not live at the moment.

I've posted a bug report here: http://drupal.org/node/58642

In this test I set up three test feeds, one to The New York Times, and two others to my favorite music blogs. All three feeds successfully work with the aggregator that comes with drupal, however there seems to be something missing with aggregator2. When I refresh the feed I get the following standard message:

Parsing feed New York Times took 0.39313983917236 seconds.
Syndicated content from New York Times.

After running the update no new feeds appear, so their is a failure to display the content. The module is connecting with the test sites as it does display there logo and links back to the source site, it just doesn't grab the feeds.

Has anyone encountered this and could anyone please help me? Most of the reported bugs don't seem to match what is happening with me. Am I missing something?

Cheers,

Will

The aggregator2 module has

The aggregator2 module has been a nightmare for functioning since last year, I think the main author is waiting for Drupal 4.7 to be released before starting work again due to the many changes in Drupals API which kept breaking Aggregator2.module

So you'll have to wait a month.

is it working yet with Drupal 4.7?

I just did a fresh installation of drupal 4.7. and got the same problem with aggregator2 as mentioned here. Please help.

aggregator node module

I've just put together a new aggregator->node module. It's not feature rich, or complete, but does work and I'd appreciate any feedback on it.

Check out the aggregator node project page.

more forking?

oh, gawd.

Nice work budda, thx - and this functionality was jsut what i was hoping for to spice up a site for a client.

but do we really need more forking of the node aggregation functions? We now need an explanation page somehwer explaIning how node anggregator and naggegator merged to form aggregator2 which has forked to produce aggregator node....

LAWL. There's more in store

LAWL.

There's more in store too. aggregator2.module is a crock. naggregator and aggregator_node are going to be fused together over the coming weeks.
