Hi,

The signup module meets about 90% of my requirements, but there are still a couple of things I need. Is it possible to set up the module so that a confirmation email is sent to several email addresses? Also, is it possible that one of these email addresses is the author of the node being signed up for? This would be incredibly useful for me, as we want signups sent to a generic system admin address (always the same), as well as the person running the 'event' that the node refers to (could be one of many people on the site).

Any ideas?

#103567: Multiple/configurable coordinators
#118794: Using Event author for "send signups to" address

Both of which are blocked on #290305: Split out email functionality into separate submodule(s) -- lots of things about how signup handles emails are stupid right now, but I don't want to keep making incremental hacks in various parts -- I'd rather burn it all to the ground and start over with something sane.

Hello dww. I understand - and completely agree - with what you say about wanting to start from a sensible, clean and hack-free codebase, but - please, for the sake of usability! - could we have a temporary fix to set the event creator as the default notification e-mail address?

Even easier, a simple checkbox labelled "E-mail event creator when a signup is added or changed" might lose some functionality, but it would make everyones' lives - including yours - so much simpler =o)

(I'm just coming at this from the POV that you'll never please most of the people any of the time - to try to do so will be pure masochism).

I'm piping up because I saw a thread from 2007 on a 5.x with the same request.

What would it take to get this in? Beer? Money? Beer money? :)
