Ref http://drupal.org/node/479836#comment-2078308 - I am using the latest ubercart rc7 and still find that anonymous users cant buy node access WITHOUT first creating an an account AND logging in. The link above talks about resolving this but only discusses Roles and File downloads NOT node access. I have set up a demo site and can show you the issue as it is important to me to get sorted and would greatly enhance this modules usefulness
