Signups tab on profile pages is visible to anyone!

I've just upgraded from 5x_1.x to 5x_2.7 -- lots of nice improvements. Thank you!
BUT now I find that the user profiles feature a new "Signups" tab visible to everyone, even anonymous visitors.

This is a major privacy breach for users! After all, why should strangers (and especially anonymous users) be able to see which events other users have signed up to?

The problem is that there is no obvious way to get rid of that tab in the settings.
Please,
A) provide an option "Display Signups tab on profile pages" in the settings
OR
B) provide a role-based option in Access Controls "View Signup tab on others' profile pages"
