Missing MARC tab under content type

Hi
I've managed to import marc records from a file, though only into a story content type with only the node title set to the book title.
I can't seem to modify the content type to add the marc fields.
There is no MARC tab in the admin section for a content type!
I've followed the post http://drupal.org/node/204771, and I see tabs for
* Manage fields
* Display fields
In the body below I have the
* New field
* Exisitng field
* New group
But no Marc tab, I have CCK module enabled and the permission all set for MARC and CCK module.
I see in post http://drupal.org/node/220324 that "CCK based mapping form is gone in the version for 6.". Would this be related to my problem?
Please help!
