Lack of permissions for audio import should show error message, not user page

Description

I installed the audio module tonight on a site I'm maintaining, in hopes of being able to upload an MP3 podcast. The file was too big to upload via the form on the create content page, and I don't have access to the php.ini file for the server it's hosted on, so I'm trying to use audio_import.

But... after installing and configuring the module and being told my configuration options had been saved and were OK, I clicked on the link to go to the import page - and instead, it displayed my user page! The URL the browser showed was correct - /admin/content/audio_import - but the page that showed was what I'd normally see at /user when logged in. This is bewildering, to say the least.

It's also a big problem, because I need to have this podcast up for tomorrow (today, I should say, given how late it is - it's late Friday night in my mind, but early Saturday morning to most people). Thus the "critical" label.

Is there any way to fix this, or any sort of workaround that will allow me to import the file? I can't upload it via the web due to the size, so it's got to be by FTP. Maybe some way I can enter the path to where the file is stored via phpMyAdmin or something?

Any assistance would be VERY much appreciated! Thanks!

Never mind, it turned out to be a permissions problem. I keep forgetting that on that particular site, I'm not user 1 and don't automatically have permission for everything as soon as it's installed. It was especially confusing as it had let me configure the module, but not actually import the audio.

However, it would be nice for it to have shown some kind of error message telling me I didn't have permission to access the page, rather than just showing my user page. So I'll leave this ticket up but just change the title etc. to something more relevant to the lack of a useful error message.

that's odd that it would dump you onto the user page... not quite sure why that would be.
