In the forum content type I have unchecked "Do not show a reply link on comments" but still the reply button shows up in the forum.

In other content types where I have unchecked "Do not show a reply link on comments" it works, but not with forum content type. How can I remove the "reply" link/button from forum comments?

Two modules involved, flat comments and advanced forum.

Other modules that modify the links section tend to conflict with AF. I'm hoping to resolve that problem with #594206: Investigate moving theme_links modifications up to http://api.drupal.org/api/function/hook_link_alter
