After initial installation of nodewords 6.x-1.2, I can enable/disable the "administer nodewords" permission for the admin role. But the "edit XYZ tag" permission is not visible. Any ideas on why it is not visible?

There isn't such permission; if you are referring to what I wrote, I meant there is a permission for each of the meta tags implemented.
