Hi,

I'm wondering if it is a good idea to think in documents as embed fields. The only provider I can think of by the moment is http://issuu.com

But there are others like www.scribd.com but for that case there is one module to do that independently: ipaper module.

So, what do you think is the best idea for doing that?

PS: issuu have great embed flash viewer for documents as I recently notice :D

Well.. so finally since an ipaper like module appear some time ago: scribdfield.

I'm now working on a module for issuu.com using the same approach that the last module, extending cck filefield, so this issue seems to be outdated.

I see the status as "Won't Fix" but I'd like you to reconsider your policy about this. Since Embedded Media Field is about embedding multimedia content (not only video, but waves also) I think it would be great to embed other content such as scribd issuu... which already have an embed code. Additionally after the new policy to provide media providers as separate modules, it would be great to create a new provider for those services which can integrate into Embedded Media Field.

The good point in having this is that only one module is required and that only one field is required, allowing us to create a multimedia content type with only one field instead of creating different content types with different fields.

Ok, I guess the integration is going to happen on 7.x-1.x at issuu project: #1321774: [meta] Media integration, so closing this.
