check for postive / negative vote

Hi,

I am intending to use vote up/down for one of my project and using the votingpoints submodule of userpoints contributed to integrate with rules.

One of my requirement is to check for positive or negative vote and call an action using rules. Is there a way/api to check for(boolean maybe) positive or negative vote by a user?
