When you click on any of the 3rd party icons (or links) on both the Create New Account or Log in pages, then the overlay shows the same choices and you have to select the desired account again. This seems one step too many! Could the links just go directly to the sign in for that particular type of account?

We've been waiting a while for the JanRain folks to do some work on their end to allow for this. Nothing yet.

We are really looking for this feature since we want to put the Janrain widget on our front page.

What exactly is needed on the Janrain side? We are willing to communicate with Janrain directly to ask for this, as paying customers.
