Right now, the statistics module only logs image views when viewing the full node. If I have a view set up with scaled images and open them in a lightbox, the images don't get counted as a "hit". Does this module solve this? Or only if there is an actual download of the file? Also, does it support views to list and sort by number of downloads?

closing due to new maintainer and an unsupported version. A new 6.x-2.x version is forthcoming, please open new issues against that version when available if necessary.
