I have never encountered this and would not post an issue if I had not tried trouble shooting already. I have disabled nearly all modules and cleared caches etc.

I noticed that upon saving my nodes the fields were not appearing in the nodes. I clicked Edit and noted that the fields we no longer populated.

Preview shows the values for the CCK fields but upon saving them I lose them.

My other content types seem to be unaffected. So it seems I am overlooking something and I do not know how to fix it.
