newbie- Though the FCKeditor should make post background color white it is overridden by dark blue somehow on the template. Makes posts hard to read when using FCKeditor. I tried changing html element to white in the custom.css to no avail. It just becomes blue again.

Not sure about this but I think WYSIWYG module has an feature that allow you to specify which CSS style you want to use for your FCKeditor.
