Hi.

I installed GMap recently, and struggled to get the location prompts to show up on the user registration/profiles. After putzing around with permissions and the GMap settings, it finally showed up (quite randomly it seemed). However, the Location form on the user registration/profile would not respond to the settings I had made regarding whether or not particular fields should show up (ie, all fields showed up on the registration/profiles, when I only wanted Address, City, and State in there).

Anyway, I entered in some dummy location info for my Admin account, and BAM, white screen of death. I've been making websites forever, but only recently got into Drupal. It's freaking amazing, though stuff like this hurts.

This is my first Issue logged, so if I'm not following appropriate protocol, I apologize.

Note: Perhaps the Location module is at fault? I installed that one too, of course. I'm building a national magazine's website on Drupal, and could really use a hand on this one (so I don't lose my job :) ).

Thanks!

I had my host disable the GMap module in phpmyadmin (for some reason, I kept getting a page not found when I tried to hit cpanel -> phpmyadmin)

Anyway, the WSOD went away, but I'd really like for the GMap mod to work. I'm fearful that if I enable the mod again, I'll get the WSOD, again.

I read a tutorial of sorts here -> http://groups.drupal.org/node/19614 | that suggested NOT to disable collection of particular location fields (ie City, Zip, Etc.) - just set them all to "Allow". That's not exactly cool, but it fixes the WSOD, and let's me use the module fair enough. So it "works", but not as designed as far as I can tell.

For admins, it's no big deal, but if you want to turn over the GMap/Location fields to the user to fill in, it isn't ideal.

If this is a Duplicate issue, please let me know.

Thanks

"Needs review" is for situations where you have a patch. This seems like a bug to me, still.
