Issue Summary
I have an admin theme setup within this site (which is heavily styled and makes extensive use of popups API) and I need to remove popups from this theme.
I recall that there is a setting that will do this but I cannot seem to find it again. I had this set before but mistakenly removed it at some point.
Can someone please point me to this setting as the admin section is almost unusable now.

For anyone else with this problem, you need to disable popups_admin module. It has no UI, and is not configurable from within the Popups module config. It would appear it just is an on/off module, and pity help you if you turn it on and then try and find where in the admin user interface you can disable the behaviour—because you can't. Other than by disabling the module. Done.

This rather curious implementation—a separate popups_admin module, that provides a single non-configurable function—seems to be an unfortunate and counter-intuitive step. I propose that this should be moved back into popups module, and provided as a checkbox on the popups module configuration page, where most people I suggest are more likely to look for it.

Actually, I will correct myself. It does not matter that this is implemented in a separate module. The important thing is providing a UI to disable the functionality, even when popups_admin is enabled—and I suggest that on the popups configuration page is the place to do it.

In my case, popups_admin module has been deactivated but the popups keep appearing in the admin section like when i want to edit a menu, manage cck field or edit a node. If i click on open on separate tab, then it does not appear. Is there a way to ensure that it never appears in the admin section of the site?

Same issue here.. Admin mod is disabled but they still show up.
