Advanced Profile Kit - how to add "add to friend list" link?

I recently added advanced profile kit to my site. I noticed that there is no longer an "add friend" link anywhere each user's profile. Does anybody know how I can add a link for this?

Depends on what module you're using for friends. If it's user relationships, that's built into Author Pane. If it's flag friend, that's built in but there is an issue with it in AP 2.x. If it's friendlist, you're on your own as I won't touch it.

Is there any progress towards fixing the issues with advanced profile kit and friend flag, mainly friend request link not showing up on profile page?

I put in the issue that I could use someone to provide a patch but no one ever did. Since I don't use the module, it's pretty low priority for me.
